Zafer Gürhan rehberliğindeki Petkim Yürüyüşçüleriyle Kurudere Köyü, Nif Balık Çiftliği,  Kemalpaşa rotasıyla Nif Dağı Trans etkinliği planlamıştık. Ancak bir 5 dakika dahi durmayan yağmur nedeniyle balık çiftliğine uğramaktan vazgeçip 6.5 saatlik kesintisiz yürüyüşle Kurudere’den Kemalpaşa’ya yürüdük. Böylece bir bakıma Nif Dağı’nı teğet geçtik!Sabah 9’da toplam 12 dağcı yağmurla birlikte şimdilerde Nazar Köyü denilen Kurudere’den yürüyüşü başlattık. Nif’in alçak yükseltilerinin hemen dibinde yeralan köy çam ağaçlarının yeşiliyle çevrili adeta. Köy dışında bir beton köprüyle dereyi geçtikten sonra, bir süre suyu iyice çoşkunlaşan derenin kıyısından ilerledik. Ancak dere geçişlerinin zorluğu nedeniyle patikaları izlemek imkansızlaşınca Zafer rotayı değiştirdi ve toprak yoldan yürüyüşe devam ettik. Başlangıçta nispeten hafif olan yağmur, saatler ilerledikçe şiddetini artırdı ve ne kadar korunmaya çalıştıysak da bizleri iyice ıslattı. Zaten bu etkinlikte kuru olan tek şey sadece köyün adıydı!

Nif’in zirvelerine doğru iyice kuvvetlenen rüzgarla birlikte yağmur da fırtınaya dönüştü. Artık değil fotoğraf  çekmek durup çantalardan bir lokma yiyecek almak bile zorlaştı. Birkaç su içme molası dışında hemen hiç durmadan ve balık çiftliğine ziyareti de bir başka tarihe bırakarak, oyalanmadan hızlı bir tempo ile saat 15:30’da Kemalpaşa’ya ulaştık.

THE PASS OF NİF MOUNTAIN FROM KURUDERE TO KEMALPAŞA – Feb.7, 2010

We had planned a passing of Nif Mountain at Kurudere Village, Nif Fish Farm Kemalpaşa Route with Petkim Hikers under the guidance of Zafer Gürhan. But since the rain did not stop even for 5 minutes, we gave up stopping by Nif Fish Farm, we walked from Kurudere to Kemalpaşa without a break with an 6.5-hour walk. So we crossed the Nif Mountain tangentially.

At 9 in the morning we started with the rain with 12 hikers from Kurudere, now called Nazar Village. Located at the foot of the low parts of Nif, the village is surrounded by the green of pine trees. After crossing a concrete bridge outside the village, we continued by the stream, which has more water recently. However, when it was impossible to cross the streams, Zafer changed the route and we continued to walk on the dirt road. The rain was weak at first, hours later it increased its strength and even if we tried to protect ourselves, we got very wet. In fact, the only thing that remained dry in this event was the name of the village!

With the wind rising towards the peaks of NIF, rain turned into a storm. It was now difficult not only to stop for a second and take photos, but even to get a small piece of food from our bags. Almost non-stopping except for a few breaks to drink water, and postponing the visit to the fish farm to another date, we arrived in Kemalpaşa at a fast pace at 15:30.
